Falconry Courses

Private Falconry Courses

We currently do not offer private falconry training and are having a season off hawking (our first in 15 years) because we are very tired!! For details of those who do offer falconry courses check out your local falconry centre or visit www.ibr.org.uk or the British Falconer’s Club website.

If you are a venue looking to generate some easy income why not consider hosting one of our Falconry Activity Days? You hire us for the day and we run the event at your venue, all you have to do is co-ordinate the booking process. There are 3 types of events listed below; each suitable for a different age/interest group and season of the year. We limit the attendance to increase participant enjoyment so pre-booking is essential. What facilities we require varies with each type of activity day so please get in touch to discuss.

Winter Hawk Walks

Join us at a stunning historic venue in early winter for a rural ramble and thrilling hawking session. In days of old the winter months were the traditional time for falconers to practice the art of hawking. Recreating this time honoured tradition, participants will enjoy a rustic stroll over historic countryside while free flying spectacular hawks overhead. Learn about the natural behaviour of hawks, watch them work over meadow and woodland and enjoy the excitement of one of the world’s oldest sports. The event includes an introductory briefing, personal handling tuition, and field experience of flying and working a team of Harris Hawks.
